For The Record

Listening to Pandora's Instrumental Folk station

Its about time for me to start keeping a journal. Days seem to go by quickly and indiscernible from one another.

So we have a new plan. We've changed from a technology route to an accounting route. Its not a bad thing, I think highly of it. Right now I'm still at ECC (Thats Erie County Community College), I've been for a few years, and its about time for me to move on to another school. I've obtained my Associates in General Studies, focused in business and.... well business. From there I'm getting my Entrepreneurship Certificate at the end of the semester, which makes it easier for me to get business loans (which i don't know if i want). But I'm hoping for some new opportunities to open up because of it.

I'm currently working at Panera bread, which is nice, but i personally think i've outgrown it. I just see potential everywhere and I feel like I'm a freaking genius going insane at a register all day, not to mention my feet tend to hurt from chilling in one place all day.

For my tech fund, I work for Dr. Drew Messer, not the famous guy. He does Video Game Therapy for kids with social 'difficulties', mostly with spectrums of autism and people who would be classically identified as Nerds, Geeks and Outcasts. That started off like an internship and turned into an 'as needed' position. (I still havn't filed the paperwork through school) I keep on telling him i want to be a part time employee at 10-16 hours a week, but he says to get in line and the business hasn't grown to the point where he can hire me on. We're hoping this works out to our advantage and will turn into a decent position but we're not putting all our eggs in one basket.

Apart from work, i'm supposed to be working on this movie set with Aaron K. My old boss from Cyberjocks. I don't think that it'll lead me anywhere, but it'll be nice to get back on the set. (I used to work camera for public access television for the Mary Davis Show. It was a nice gig, but I always felt out of place because I was the only white guy on set.... well maybe thats not entirely true, I felt like I couldn't talk and socially awkward because I was the only white guy there, but as for being there I felt totally comfortable.) I don't know if my camera experience will go anywhere, but i can always hope.

Anyways, the film, i'll be an intern so no cash this time, and it'll be nice to get some real experience. The production seems kind of flimsy and comedic, its called Cleric, some Cyberpunk thing. Lots of muck seems to be going into the production, so that'll be cool.

As for the future, things look kind of bright, although we're not sure which tunnel to take or where said tunnels will lead.
